Digital strategy / Customer journeys

Follow an enquiryall the way through.

A practical journey check from first click to the point where someone can contact you.

AFH / READ

Choose one real route into your business: a post, an email or a search result. Follow it as a new visitor would, using a phone as well as a computer.

  1. Does the destination match the promise?

If a post discusses a specific service, the link should land on relevant information rather than make the visitor search again.

  2. Can someone judge fit?

Check that the page explains the audience, outputs, boundaries and supporting evidence.

  3. Is the next step clear?

Label what the button actually does: request information, prepare an email or book a confirmed appointment.

  4. What happens if the preferred route fails?

Provide a direct contact alternative. An email composer, for example, depends on the visitor having a suitable email app.

  5. Who handles the response?

Agree who reads enquiries and how they move into a useful conversation. Avoid promising a response time that cannot be maintained.

Record a small number of useful changes

Capture the issue, the page, the proposed change and the person responsible. Fix the points that prevent understanding or contact before adding more traffic.
